This St Christopher medal measures 5/8" long (not including the loop for the chain)
Includes a 18 in. Rhodium Chain and a Deluxe Gift Box

A martyr, Christopher, called Kester, died at Lycia, Asia Minor (modern Turkey). Tradition states that he was an ugly giant of a man who made a living carrying people across a river. One day a small boy asked for a ride, and Christopher put him on his shoulder and waded into the water. With each step, the child grew heavier, and Christopher struggled in fear of his life. The child then revealed that he was Christ. Christopher means "Christ-bearer." He is invoked against sudden death, accidents, plagues, and all mortal danger."

St. Christopher medals are a traditional catholic gift item for those who travel. His feast day is July 25th.
